Lifestyle Rules for a Clear Complexion 1. Avoid Touching Skin Usually done completely
subconsciously but always too often. Try to stop touching the face
unnecessarily; this will help prevent cross infection, damage to underlying skin
tissue, and the interruption of any natural healing process. 2. Reduce TensionYour skin can become as tense
as you are. The pores of the skin can close up and seal themselves through
tension … and then the skin will not self-clean as easily. Applications and
steaming will not be of much help, and the only thing to do is to learn to relax
and stop worrying. 3. Don’t SmokeQuite apart from any deeper health issues, smoking is terrible for your skin. It reduces the supply of oxygenated blood that your body tissues need for a healthy skin. 4. Avoid Traffic Fumes Increasing road traffic
produces excessive carbon monoxide and petroleum residues, and as with smoking,
breathing these in reduces the supply of nourishing, oxygenated blood for the
skin. Avoid high traffic areas whenever possible. 5. Eat Healthy FoodYour general health has an
important effect on the condition of your skin. So try to follow a balanced
nourishing diet, avoiding as much as possible food additives, which can irritate
the skin and cause allergies. 6. Get Enough SleepSkin problems can arise or be
aggravated by lack of sleep. Do not wait until you are over-tired and fatigued
before going to bed. Try and get plenty of rest. Think twice before cutting down
on your sleep hours. 7. Take Less MedicineIf you can reduce your reliance on medicines and drugs (unless prescribed) your body and your skin will have to cope with fewer potential chemical irritants. |
